On the afternoon of October 17, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hai Phong city organized a consultation and discussion seminar on preserving the architectural heritage space of the French Quarter in Hai Phong through multi-media expression.

Within the framework of the program, researchers, scientists, and architects introduced and discussed paintings, photos, sketches, maps, etc. about architectural works of the French Quarter in Hai Phong.

Dr. Bui Thanh Tung, Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hai Phong city, delivered a keynote speech at the seminar.

Thereby, the architecture of the French Quarter in Hai Phong is recreated in a diverse and multi-functional manner, including workplaces, residences, commercial businesses, defense, industrial production, seaports... Including the City Theater, Hai Phong Railway Station, Hai Phong Museum (former French-Chinese Bank building), Hai Phong Cathedral, Hai Phong Central Post Office , City People's Committee headquarters (former Governor's Palace building), power plants...

Over time, some structures have been eroded and changed, but still contain great cultural, historical and architectural values ​​and significance, and are precious heritages.

The researcher presents carefully and meticulously collected images of the works and architecture of the French Quarter in Hai Phong.

The seminar also connected online with Dr. Le Minh Thanh, Director of the Tourism and Creative Culture Development Joint Stock Company (Ho Chi Minh City) to discuss the unique, outstanding, and distinctive values ​​of the French Quarter architecture in Hai Phong; heritage elements that need to be preserved and maintain the integrity of the French Quarter architectural heritage in Hai Phong city.

Researchers, scientists and speakers also proposed solutions to promote the value of these architectural works for the goal of developing the city in the new period.
