Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc attended the opening ceremony of Vietnam Card Day 2025 - Song Festival and directed the event. Also attending the event were: Mr. Bui Quang Huy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union ; Mr. Pham Tien Dung - Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV); Mr. Nguyen Duc Chi - Deputy Minister of Finance; representatives of Tien Phong Newspaper, Vietnam National Payment Joint Stock Company (NAPAS) and representatives of 24 commercial banks, financial institutions, international card organizations and Merchants (payment acceptance units).

This is the 5th time since 2020 that Tien Phong Newspaper has organized this event. Up to now, Vietnam Card Day has spread its creativity as a community communication mark of Tien Phong Newspaper in collaboration with NAPAS.

Vietnam Card Day 2025 with the consistent message "One touch - Ten thousand trusts" represents the future trend of the Banking Industry with digital technology including: Tap to Pay, Tap to Phone, QR code, e-wallet, mobile payment and electronic identification technology (eKYC). The Organizing Committee expects that just one touch via card, QR code, biometrics will open up thousands of connections. Each of those connections will foster thousands of trusts: From trust in safe and transparent digital payments; trust in the remarkable development of science and technology; trust in the strong driving force from the private economy; to trust in the era of national development.
Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc said: Song Festival is the key event of the Vietnam Card Day Campaign 2025 with the meaningful message "One touch - Ten thousand beliefs" spreading to students. This is not only a vibrant festival for young people; but also a forum for leaders, managers and people to see the important achievements of the Banking and Finance sectors in the process of national digital transformation.
“The numbers speak for themselves with hundreds of thousands of cashless technology experiences at Song Festival, tens of millions of views on social media platforms showing the practical benefits of cashless payments (TTKDTM). This is a modern consumer trend, a social trust in card payments and digital payments. Today's Festival takes place at the right time to summarize the 5-year development of TTKDTM, making it even more meaningful. The success of Vietnam Card Day today contributes to the successful implementation of the Government's national comprehensive financial strategy until 2025 and vision to 2030,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Banking and Finance sectors and relevant units to focus on investing in technology infrastructure, digital infrastructure and quickly increase and popularize e-commerce payment points nationwide in all business and trading sectors; strengthen security and confidentiality measures, ensuring maximum benefits and rights of customers using e-commerce payment technology; expand and strengthen international connectivity and integration; promote training and development of digital human resources; strengthen propaganda, dissemination and training of modern payment knowledge and skills.

At the opening ceremony, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Pham Tien Dung said: Vietnam's banking industry has been achieving outstanding results in digital transformation and innovation. With the close direction of the Party, the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam, along with the continuous efforts of credit institutions and technology enterprises, Vietnam has built a modern, safe and efficient payment infrastructure. Advanced technologies such as QR Code, mobile payment, biometrics have been widely applied to improve service quality, optimize processes and create new values for customers. In recent years, the rate of non-cash payments has grown strongly, contributing to transparency of transactions, reducing social costs and promoting digital economic growth.
According to Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Pham Tien Dung: Vietnam Card Day has contributed significantly to that overall success through communication, practical experiences and attractive incentives; arousing interest in modern payment habits for people. The Vietnam Card Day - Festival event is also an opportunity for banks and organizations to promote products and improve user experience.
