Arrest of 18-year-old youth producing firecrackers for sale

On November 24, the Investigation Police Agency of Hong Bang District Police ( Hai Phong City) is temporarily detaining Vu Van Huy (18 years old, living in Dong Hoa Ward, Kien An District, Hai Phong City) to investigate the act of illegally manufacturing firecrackers.

Previously, on November 23, in the area on Hung Vuong Street, So Dau Ward (Hong Bang District), a working group of the Economic Police Team of the District Police discovered and caught Huy red-handed transporting 9.41 kg of firecrackers for sale.

At the investigation agency, Huy confessed that he produced the above fireworks at home, then sold them to customers in need, with the aim of making a profit.

During an emergency search of Vu Van Huy’s residence, the investigation agency seized various types of fireworks and the tools Huy used to produce fireworks. Vu Van Huy is currently being detained for investigation.
