On the morning of October 12, the delegation of Ho Chi Minh City began a program to visit typical works and landmarks before the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

The group's first destination was Ben Thanh station of metro line 1 Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien, the city's most modern transport project.

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang attended the delegation.

Previously, in an exchange with Tuoi Tre, Chief of the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Pham Hong Son said that organizing a field trip for delegates attending the Congress to visit the three regions of Ba Ria - Vung Tau , Binh Duong and the old Ho Chi Minh City had special significance.

This is not only a normal field trip, but also a profound political and ideological activity, helping delegates visualize more clearly the scale, structure, identity and development potential of Ho Chi Minh City after the merger.

Currently, Ho Chi Minh City has become a particularly expanded urban area, with three development zones with their own characteristics but with great complementarity to each other. The tours help delegates directly observe, exchange, and accumulate more practical materials to make practical contributions to the Congress documents.

Metro Line 1 is nearly 20km long, connecting the city center with the eastern region, including 14 stations, including 3 modern underground stations at Ben Thanh, City Theater and Ba Son.

When operational at the end of 2024, the project is expected to become a new symbol, contributing to shaping the appearance of a dynamic, modern and sustainably developing Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the plan, 12 delegations will visit and experience the metro line, and offer incense and flowers at the Hung Kings Temple and the Temple of Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh.

After that, the group was divided into 3 groups to continue the tour in different areas.
