This morning, March 22, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to commend and reward enterprises that have excellently fulfilled their tax payment obligations in 2023. In 2023, the Ministry of Finance assigned a domestic revenue estimate of VND 3,327 billion to Quang Tri province, an estimate excluding land use fees of VND 2,527 billion. The Provincial People's Council assigned VND 3,400 billion, an estimate excluding land use fees of VND 2,600 billion. As a result, the total domestic revenue in the province in 2023 was VND 2,785.6 billion, reaching 83.7% of the ordinance estimate, 81.9% of the Provincial People's Council estimate and 68.7% compared to 2022. The domestic revenue excluding land use fees was VND 2,458.8 billion, reaching 97.3% of the ordinance estimate, 94.6% of the Provincial People's Council estimate and 90.4% compared to 2022. In particular, if deducting the exemptions and reductions according to the policies of the Government and the National Assembly in 2023, the province's enterprises and entrepreneurs contributed over 115% of the budget estimate for taxes and fees.

Along with promoting production and business activities, over 5,000 enterprises operating in the province have been making important contributions to the socio-economic development of the province, fulfilling their tax obligations well. Among them, many enterprises have successfully broken through and developed more and more strongly, which is reflected in the annual tax payments of up to tens and hundreds of billions of VND, typically Quang Tri Petroleum Company; Hanoi - Quang Tri Beer Joint Stock Company; Quang Tri Trading Corporation Joint Stock Company...

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien emphasized that tax is the main source of revenue for the state budget, a tool contributing to adjusting macroeconomic targets; performing the functions of controlling, managing, guiding and encouraging production development, expanding circulation for all economic sectors in the direction of development of the State plan. In recent years, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and all levels and sectors have always paid attention to, created conditions and stood side by side with businesses, regularly met, exchanged, listened and accompanied to find solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses.

Thanks to that, the province's business community is growing stronger in both quantity and quality; contributing positively and effectively to the province's economic growth. Not only focusing on production and business, the province's business community also does a good job in social work, poverty reduction, education promotion, talent promotion and gratitude. Many businesses and businessmen of the province have been awarded many noble titles by the President, the Prime Minister, central ministries, branches and the Provincial People's Committee, and have been honored with major awards by central associations...

At the same time, he requested departments, branches, sectors and localities to continue to pay attention, accompany and provide maximum support for enterprises to develop, focus on promptly removing difficulties and obstacles, thoroughly handling outstanding and long-standing issues, creating favorable conditions for enterprises and investors to promote production and business.
