At the meeting, delegates listened to Major General Pham Cong Nguyen, Director of the Department of Legislation and Administrative and Judicial Reform, report on some contents of the 7th Session Agenda and the status of drafting draft laws chaired by the Ministry of Public Security. It is expected that at this session, there will be 05 draft laws and 01 report chaired by the Ministry of Public Security to be submitted to the National Assembly, including: Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety; Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Support Tools (amended); Law on Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Security Guards; Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking (amended); Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam stated that, according to tradition, at each session of the National Assembly, the Ministry of Public Security organizes meetings and works with National Assembly deputies in the Public Security to provide information on issues related to the work of ensuring security and order, building the Public Security force, especially draft laws drafted by the Ministry of Public Security, to serve the session of the National Assembly. Minister To Lam re-emphasized the role of draft laws in ensuring security and order, building the Public Security force and all aspects of life, therefore, he asked the deputies to exchange frankly, openly and specifically in a constructive spirit, with the common goal of jointly completing the task of building laws and public security work to serve the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly according to the set plan.
