Gas prices in October 2025 continue to decrease, bringing positive signals to consumers

(HTV) - From today (October 1), domestic gas prices for October continue to be adjusted down sharply. Accordingly, each 12kg gas cylinder will be reduced by 6,000 VND, bringing a positive signal to households and businesses after many months of fluctuations.

Entering the last quarter of the year, the domestic gas market received positive news when retail prices were adjusted down. Specifically, information on gas prices in October showed a significant cooling, as the world CP (contract price) in October 2025 was fixed at 485 USD/ton. This price has decreased by 20 USD/ton compared to the previous month. Therefore, many large gas businesses in Vietnam have simultaneously announced adjustments to retail prices of household and industrial gas products.

According to the official announcement from Southern Gas Trading Joint Stock Company (Gas South), one of the key players in the market, the retail gas price to consumers will decrease by 6,000 VND for a 12kg cylinder. In addition, the 45kg cylinder will also decrease by 22,500 VND.

After adjustment, Gas South's retail price in the Eastern and Western regions of the South is listed at 434,400 VND/12kg cylinder and 1,630,611 VND/45kg cylinder. This price includes value added tax (VAT). Therefore, consumers can rest assured about the final price when purchasing the product. The new price policy is applied to a series of familiar brands in the Gas South system. These brands include Gas Dau Khi, VT - Gas, A Gas, Dang Phuoc Gas, Dak Gas and JP Gas.
