How to make: roast 3-5 soapberries on a charcoal stove or gas stove until fragrant. Put the soapberries in a pot of boiling water, cover for about 5 minutes then open the lid to fumigate the room. You can burn soapberries directly in a closed room to purify the air.
Or crush 3-5 soapberries, put them in a pot of boiling water, boil for 10 minutes. Then, place the pot in the middle of the house, open the lid to let the steam spread throughout the room. This method is safer than burning directly, suitable for families with small children. However, be careful to avoid burns from the steam or water in the pot.
You can fumigate the room by burning soapberry. Take 3-5 soapberry fruits and burn them directly on a charcoal stove or gas stove. When the soapberry smokes, fumigate around the house to disinfect. When the smoke dissipates, place the soapberry fruits on a plate to let them burn out.
Be careful not to burn too much as the thick smoke can cause respiratory irritation.
Herbal essential oil steaming

Cajeput essential oil supports the respiratory tract, anti-inflammatory, cleans the air, supports breathing, and reduces colds.
Peppermint essential oil helps clear the nose, reduce cough, reduce nasal congestion, and help you stay awake. Cinnamon essential oil is a strong disinfectant and warms the space.
How to use: Add 3 - 5 drops of essential oil to the diffuser. Turn on the machine for 30 - 60 minutes/time, 2 - 3 times/day.
You can also use boiling water to steam essential oils by boiling 500 ml of water and adding 3-5 drops of essential oil. Place it in the corner of the room and the steam will spread throughout the space.
Note: Do not use essential oils that are too concentrated as they can irritate the nose and throat.
Steaming herbal leaves to disinfect the house
Ingredients: 5 lemongrass stalks, 1 ginger root (crushed), 10 perilla leaves, 5 - 7 mint leaves, 1 liter of water.
How to make: Boil water, add leaves, cook for 10 minutes. Place the pot in the middle of the room, open the lid to let the steam rise. You can use a towel to cover your head and steam directly if you have a cold. Note, if steaming directly, steam for 10-15 minutes, avoid steaming for too long to avoid dehydration.
Or boil water for steaming with ingredients such as lemongrass, ginger, perilla, Vietnamese balm, mint, eucalyptus, for family use. This steaming pot has the effect of disinfecting, relieving colds, and supporting the respiratory tract.
How to make: Boil water with the above leaves for 15 - 20 minutes, then place the pot of water in the center of the house, open the lid to let the steam spread throughout the room.
This steamer can be used with a towel over the head to steam directly on the body for 10-15 minutes to treat flu. However, be careful not to steam when you have a high fever or are dehydrated.
People with heart disease or high blood pressure should be careful when using a steam bath. Children and pregnant women should consult a doctor before using a steam bath.
