Cao Bang Provincial Military Command said that the unit has mobilized 150 officers, soldiers, and militiamen to search for the three missing people.

Complex terrain and prolonged rain made the search difficult.

Present at the scene to direct the search and rescue work, Comrade Hoang Van Thach, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province, requested officers and soldiers of the armed forces, the project's construction site management board, local Party committees and authorities to coordinate and make efforts to search for the missing people; and stabilize safe accommodation for workers working at the Dong Dang-Tra Linh expressway project site.

Currently, heavy rain continues in many areas of Cao Bang province.

Bach Dang and Binh Long hydroelectric plants discharged floodwaters, increasing the amount of water flowing into the Hien and Bang rivers, causing the water levels to rise.

In some areas, roads were eroded and blocked. Many houses were flooded. According to preliminary statistics, in Thuc Phan ward, 270 houses were flooded, in Hoa An commune, 240 houses were flooded.

Local authorities and armed forces have mobilized maximum forces to support and help people prevent, overcome and reduce the consequences of natural disasters.
