Stock market morning October 16: VN-Index continues to accumulate, fluctuates slightly

On the morning of October 16, the domestic stock market maintained an accumulation state with a narrow fluctuation range.

At the end of the morning session, VN-Index increased by 4.33 points to 1,762.28 points, with trading volume reaching more than 572.5 million shares, equivalent to nearly VND 17,991 billion. The entire floor had 155 stocks increasing in price, 135 stocks decreasing in price and 60 stocks remaining unchanged.

HNX-Index increased 0.92 points to 277.04 points, trading volume reached more than 50.3 million shares, equivalent to more than 1,254 billion VND, with 51 codes increasing, 58 codes decreasing and 66 codes remaining unchanged.

UPCOM-Index increased 0.34 points to 112.66 points, trading more than 20.5 million shares, worth over VND329.6 billion; of which 80 codes increased, 90 codes decreased and 80 codes remained unchanged.

The VN30 basket recorded 12 stocks increasing, 14 stocks decreasing and 4 stocks remaining unchanged. Among the increasing stocks, some stocks had strong increases such as MSN hitting the ceiling, VJC increasing by 3.62%, VRE increasing by 2.74%, VIC increasing by 1.1%, contributing mainly to the increase of VN-Index.

In general, stock groups performed differently, with green and red intertwined, and the price fluctuations of the codes were not too large, showing that investors were still cautious in this morning's session.
