Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club launched and started the new season

VHO - On the afternoon of August 8 at the Ho Chi Minh City Police Hall, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club held a launching ceremony and officially began its journey to conquer the 2025/26 season.

After a period of interruption, in July 2025, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City transferred Ho Chi Minh City Club, which is competing in V.League 1, to the management of Ho Chi Minh City Police.

Coach Le Huynh Duc takes on the position of "captain" of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Club.

The football team officially changed its name to Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club, marking a new beginning with the determination to restore the position of one of the football icons of the South.

With the direction and close attention of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security , the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security Club aims to develop into a strong football team with the identity of the Public Security force, in parallel with long-term investment in the youth training system.

Taking on the position of head coach is Mr. Le Huynh Duc, a former famous player and also a part of the glorious history of the team.

Supporting him are assistants Phung Thanh Phuong, Hoang Hung and Chau Chi Cuong, all experienced in coaching.

Speaking at the ceremony, Coach Le Huynh Duc affirmed that he will work with the whole team to rebuild their competitive identity and aim to enter the top 5 of V.League this season.

In terms of personnel, the team retains many key players such as goalkeeper Patrick Le Giang, midfielder Endrick, central defender Tran Hoang Phuc, midfielder Nguyen Thai Quoc Cuong and Vo Huy Toan.

In addition, the club also increased the depth of the squad with notable contracts such as striker Nguyen Tien Linh (Vietnam Golden Ball 2024), midfielder Pham Duc Huy (from Nam Dinh Green Steel Club), Dang Van Lam ( Quang Nam Club), Pham Van Luan (CAHN), Nguyen Duc Phu (PVF-CAND), and defender Le Quang Hung (SHB Da Nang Club).

Ho Chi Minh City Police Club will continue to set up its headquarters at a modern facility in Phu Thuan ward, District 7 - a place with thorough investment to serve professional football.

In its development roadmap, the team has set two key goals: building a squad capable of competing in the V.League and developing a sustainable youth training system as a foundation for the future.
