Police investigate car crash into Dong Nai River, female driver dies

On the morning of December 15, Di An City Police, Binh Duong Province, said that the unit is investigating and clarifying the cause of the incident in which a 4-seat car fell into the Dong Nai River, killing a female driver.

The victim in the incident was Ms. TTN (22 years old, residing in Dong Nai province), currently studying at a university in Ho Chi Minh City. At the time of the accident, Ms. T was on her way home from school.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Dam Bao Quan - Chief of Di An City Police, after the rescue forces brought the vehicle and the victim's body to shore, the unit is investigating and determining the cause of the incident.

Previously, after many hours of searching, it was not until late on December 14 that the rescue team located the car that fell under the Dong Nai River, then lifted it from the riverbed to serve the investigation.

According to observations, the vehicle involved in the accident was a 4-seater car, which was crushed and deformed when it was recovered. The windows were shattered, the interior was flooded with water and mud; the roof of the car was heavily dented due to the impact force when it collided and sank into the river.

The victim, at the time he was taken out of the car, was wearing a red shirt and white pants. Relatives were also present at the scene to identify him.
