Mobilizing all resources to help people stabilize their lives
At the headquarters of Trung Gia Commune People's Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, said: "The commune government has directed forces to coordinate with Hanoi Police to deploy working groups directly to 15 villages and 2 schools, urgently implementing support plans, contributing to minimizing damage to people and property."

Trung Gia A Primary School is one of two schools that were heavily flooded, with all classrooms and functional rooms submerged in nearly 1 meter of water. The Logistics Department and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PCCC & CNCH) of Hanoi City Police mobilized 80 officers and soldiers, 1 fire truck and 6 high-capacity pumps to pump water, clean the entire campus, and clean desks, chairs, and teaching equipment.
The school has given students three days off; students in non-isolated areas are expected to return to normal school on October 13.
At the same time, the Traffic Police, Mobile Police, Commune Police and Youth Union members of the City Police divided into many working groups, went to each household to help clean up houses, move property, collect garbage, clear sewers, and clean mud on roads, communal houses, pagodas, and schools.

Shock troops on the front line of flooded areas
Due to the storm's circulation, many communes such as Thu Lam, Da Phuc, Trung Gia were deeply flooded, traffic was cut off. The Traffic Police Department of the City Police mobilized union members, women's union members and specialized vehicles to proactively coordinate with local authorities to organize relief and support the evacuation of people.
Since October 8, Hanoi Traffic Police have coordinated with local police, the army and local authorities to safely evacuate hundreds of households and thousands of people in Trung Gia, Da Phuc and Thu Lam communes; and provided life jackets, food and essential necessities to people in flooded areas.
Captain Nguyen The Hai, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Traffic Police Department, shared: “As soon as we received information about heavy rain causing deep flooding, we divided into many working groups to go to key points. In addition to regulating traffic, the force also supported the movement of the elderly and children, transported relief goods and helped people protect their property. Each member of the Youth Union promoted a sense of responsibility, working through the night with the pride of the youth of the Capital Traffic Police.”
At the same time, the Women's Union of the Traffic Police Department organized the giving of 300 relief gifts to the people of Lai Son village (Trung Gia commune), including rubber boots, gloves, balm, bandages, cold medicine, saline solution, antiseptic solution and many other necessities, with a total value of 65 million VND.
Captain Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung, Chairwoman of the Traffic Police Department Women's Union, said: "Witnessing people having to evacuate in the rain and floods, we understand that what people need most is sharing and companionship. Each gift, though small, is the heart and responsibility of the officers and women's union members of the Traffic Police Department to their compatriots, with the hope of helping people overcome difficulties soon."

Over the past several days, despite the slow water receding and unfavorable weather, hundreds of officers and soldiers of the Hanoi Police have been wading through mud and cold rain, not minding the hardships to help people clean up and restore their daily lives. They are the steadfast "green shields" in the midst of hardship, contributing to spreading the image of the dedicated, compassionate Capital Police soldiers, always standing side by side with the people in all circumstances.
In the coming time, implementing the direction of the Party Committee - Board of Directors of the City Police, the Hanoi Police force will continue to coordinate with the Civil Defense Command at all levels, departments, branches and sectors, promoting the core and frontline role in responding to, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and search and rescue - for the peace and happiness of the people.
