Ho Chi Minh City: Launching a campaign to handle violations of alcohol and drug concentrations

The City Party Congress will take place from October 13 to 15, 2025, which is a particularly important political event, marking a new development step of the City. The entire Traffic Police force will mobilize vehicles and equipment to coordinate with relevant units to strictly handle violations, restore order and discipline in compliance with traffic laws, contributing to the safety of the Congress and the peaceful lives of the people.

Lieutenant Colonel Pham Quang Truong, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police, affirmed: "With the spirit of 'no forbidden zones, no exceptions' in handling violations of alcohol and drug concentrations, the force will resolutely reduce accidents and ensure smooth traffic on key routes."

Along with inspection and handling of violations, the traffic police force also strengthens propaganda and promotes the application of technology during the performance of duties. All inspection activities will be recorded, using modern alcohol concentration measuring devices and vehicle management via GPS, ensuring publicity, transparency and preventing negativity.

According to the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police, on the first day of ensuring traffic order and safety to serve the Congress of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (October 11, 2025), the Traffic Police force of Ho Chi Minh City Police inspected and recorded nearly 1,700 administrative violations; of which 570 cases were recorded for alcohol concentration violations, nearly 120 cases were recorded for 3-4 wheel vehicles, and nearly 500 cases were sent to vehicle owners and violators for handling violations via images.
