Announcing the 2025 National 7-a-side Football Cup

On October 9, the launching ceremony of the National 7-a-side Football Cup - Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup 2025 took place in Hanoi.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department said: "In recent years, with the great efforts of Vietfootball, the 7-a-side Football Cup has been organized regularly with high professionalism, attracting the participation of many clubs, creating a healthy playground, contributing to improving the professionalism of Vietnamese football, spreading the love of football, and building a healthy lifestyle".

The leaders of the Vietnam Sports Department hope that in the coming time, Vietfootball and other units will continue to join hands to develop 7-a-side football not only as a "specialty of Vietnam", but also to develop it in other regions.

Since 2019, the national 7-a-side football tournament has been held for the first time in the 3 regions of North - Central - South and then the national final round, marking an important milestone in the development journey of 7-a-side football, a type of football that is still considered a "specialty" and popular in Vietnam. Every year, the tournament attracts the participation of many teams from 3 regions, contributing to creating a widespread influence across the country.

In the past 2 years, the final round of the National 7-a-side Football Cup held in Ho Chi Minh City has brought a fresh breeze, marked success and received high praise from experts as well as enthusiastic cheers from the audience.

Representative of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan - General Director of VietFootball, shared: "Each season is a journey of passion and true sportsmanship. This year, with the companionship of Hyundai Thanh Cong and widespread spread, we believe that VSC-S5 will continue to be a real Football festival for 7-a-side football lovers".

This year's season, the National 7-a-side Football Cup - Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup 2025 (VSC-S5) promises many differences and attractions when gathering strong football teams, representing the identity of many regions.

Accordingly, the North has 20 participating teams, including representatives from Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Ha Tinh, Hai Phong, Ninh Binh... The South has 16 teams from Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of the West, Southeast, Central Highlands... Meanwhile, the Central region taking place in Da Nang has 8 competing teams.

After more than 2 months of competition in the 3 regional qualifying rounds, the 8 teams with the best results will win tickets to the national finals.

According to the competition schedule, the Northern qualifying round will take place from October 12 to November 23 at the C500 football field of the Security Academy (Hanoi); the Southern qualifying round will start from October 11 to November 15 at Gia Dinh Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City); and the Central qualifying round will take place from October 19 to November 16 at Dam Sen Stadium (Da Nang).

The national finals will be held from November 29 to December 7 in Ho Chi Minh City.
