Nguyen Thi That determined to collect debt from rival Jutatip
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu - General Secretary of the Vietnam Cycling and Motor Sports Federation (VCF) said that Thailand, the host of the 2025 Asian Cycling Championship, has chosen a bike to compensate cyclist Nguyen Thi That. "The bike that Thailand compensated Nguyen Thi That is based on the parameters provided by this racer," Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu shared.

At the 2025 Asian Cycling Championship, Nguyen Thi That competed on an old bike sent from Vietnam because her "war horse" was burned during transportation from Bangkok to the tournament venue about 350 km away. Nguyen Thi That lost to the host racer Jutatip by a hair's breadth and received the Asian silver medal.

Previously, the racer from An Giang won the Asian championship three times in 2018, 2022, and 2023. "If I hadn't had a car fire and had to change to an old car, I would have likely won the gold medal," Nguyen Thi That shared.

According to the plan, Nguyen Thi That and the Loc Troi An Giang Group team will compete in the Biwase 2025 International Women's Cycling Tournament taking place from March 7 to 11. This is a tournament in the 2.2 system of the International Cycling Union (UCI), so Jutatip and the Thai team are likely to participate.
Then at the end of March, Nguyen Thi That and the Vietnamese cycling team will participate in the international cycling tournament Tour of Thailand. In this tournament last year, Nguyen Thi That lost the yellow jersey to Jutatip at the last minute, a fateful encounter with two of the top sprinters in Southeast Asia and Asia.
Nguyen Thi That and Jutatip create excitement for fans every time they meet on the race track. Not yet finished, this coming December, these two racers will also meet each other at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.
