Department of Mothers and Children surveyed the current status of breast cancer prevention in Nghe An province.

On the afternoon of August 14, Nghe An Department of Health held a working session with the Department of Mothers and Children to survey the current status of breast cancer prevention in Nghe An province.

Attending the meeting were Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Director of the National Cancer Institute, K Hospital; Ms. Gvantsa Khizanishvili - Global Program and Partnership Manager, C/Can Organization and members of the delegation.

Dr. Nguyen Huu Le - Deputy Director of the Department of Health attended the meeting.

On the side of Nghe An Health sector, there were Dr. Nguyen Huu Le - Deputy Director of the Department of Health; leaders and experts of the Department of Medical Affairs - Department of Health; representatives of leaders and the Department of Non-Communicable Disease Prevention - Provincial Center for Disease Control; leaders of the Hospitals: Vinh City General Hospital, Oncology Hospital and Cua Dong General Hospital.

Overview of the working session

At the meeting, members were introduced to the C/Can organization, the cooperation model, the goals of C/Can in cooperation with provinces/cities of Vietnam, the criteria for selecting provinces/cities to participate in the project, etc. After the meeting with the Department of Health, the working group visited and surveyed hospitals in the province.
