Bulcroft denied the charges against him, but a jury convicted the former boxer at an appeal hearing at Sheffield Crown Court in June and sentencing was announced earlier this month.
Bulcroft's co-defendant, Benjamin Williams, was also sentenced to 10 years in prison. However, Williams' sentence was reduced to eight and a half years due to his pre-trial guilty plea. Williams pleaded guilty in February to charges of supplying cocaine and possessing cocaine and was released on conditional bail before sentencing.
At sentencing, Andrew Bulcroft admitted his guilt and expressed remorse. "The defendant sought to blame his financial situation at the time of the Covid-19 lockdown. Both Bulcroft and Williams have only themselves to blame," Judge Hampton said after the former boxer pleaded guilty.
