At the training session, coach Kim Sang-sik had his players warm up with relaxing exercises, before moving on to coordinating attack and defense.

The starting players in the first leg on October 9 only did light exercise to recover their fitness and quickly reach their best form for the rematch with Nepal.

Playing with more players, the Vietnamese team defeated Nepal
Before the training session, defender Cao Pendant Quang Vinh shared his feelings when his teammate Duy Manh handed him the captain's armband before leaving the field in the recent victory over Nepal.
Cao Pendant Quang Vinh said: “I am very proud and happy to be the captain of the Vietnamese team. I really did not think I would be on the executive committee and be given this opportunity, especially in the match where the team won.
I feel very comfortable playing for the Vietnam team, everyone in the team welcomed me very warmly."

Having only played 2 matches for the Vietnamese team, Quang Vinh said he did not have much difficulty integrating: "The Vietnamese team has many good players who play smart football, so the coordination between us is very good.
I am also playing consistently at Hanoi Police Club so playing harmony is not a problem," Quang Vinh emphasized.
Commenting on his opponent Nepal, the defender said: “Nepal is a strong team in defense and quick counterattacks. They tried to show that in the last match, but we played better, especially in defense. I am satisfied with the team's victory.”

Looking ahead to the return leg, Quang Vinh stressed that the team needs to improve their pressing ability and concentration: “We need to play more aggressively when we lose the ball, try to put pressure on the opponent and maintain a solid defense. In other factors, I think the whole team has done quite well.”
Sharing about the fans' feelings, Quang Vinh expressed: "I was really touched when there were so many spectators coming to the stadium to cheer in the match against Nepal. That was wonderful, and I hope the fans will continue to support the team in the return match at Thong Nhat Stadium."
The Vietnamese team will play the second leg against the Nepal team at 7:30 p.m. on October 14 at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC).
