The matches of Nam Dinh FC and CAHN FC in AFC Champions League 2 are broadcast live on K+ television (K+SPORT1 channel). K+ also owns the copyright of tournaments within the framework of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) competition system. Thus, the audience can watch from afar to cheer for the Vietnamese representatives in the Asian playground.

With a strong squad in all three lines, Nam Dinh FC promises to have a complete performance when facing Ratchaburi at Thien Truong Stadium. Ratchaburi only ranked fourth in the Thai League last season, 18 points behind champions Buriram United. The Thai team is not a big name.

If playing at their best, Nam Dinh Club is capable of taking all 3 points in the match at Thien Truong at 7:15 p.m. on September 17.

CAHN Club will participate in the AFC Champions League 2 for the first time in history. As the reigning National Cup champions, coach Alexandre Polking and his team will start their journey with a visit to Beijing Goan, the team that finished fourth in the China Super League last season with 56 points after 30 matches.

In the AFC Champions League 2 seasons ago, Vietnamese football only had 1 representative participating, that was Nam Dinh Club (because Thanh Hoa Club refused to participate in the tournament, transferring their place to another team in Thailand).

In the group stage, Nam Dinh FC finished second, behind Bangkok United of Thailand. Coach Vu Hong Viet and his team then stopped in the round of 16 against Sanfreece Hiroshima of Japan.

In the history of AFC Champions League 2 (formerly AFC Cup), the best achievement of Vietnamese teams was reaching the semi-finals in 2019 (Hanoi Club) and 2009 ( Binh Duong Club, now Becamex TP.HCM).

To prepare for AFC Champions League 2, Nam Dinh FC has been recruiting heavily. The team from Thanh Nam currently has 11 foreign players in its squad, ready to compete on equal terms with opponents in the group stage such as Gamba Osaka, Eastern or Ratchaburi.

As for CAHN Club, although the foreign force is not as large, the team still managed to add the overseas Vietnamese duo Brandon Ly and Adou Minh to strengthen the defense, signed contracts with two foreign players Stefan Mauk (former U.23 Australia midfielder) and Rogerio China, thanks to that, they have a deep squad to fight in many arenas.

In Group E, CAHN Club will face Beijing Goan, MacArthur and Tai Po.

The goal of both Vietnamese teams is to win tickets to the round of 16 of AFC Champions League 2.
