Since the beginning of January, on Nguyen Duy Hieu, Bui Khac Nhat and Le Hoan streets of Thanh Hoa City , Thanh Hoa Province, traders have begun displaying many types of ornamental plants such as peach, grapefruit, apricot, kumquat, etc. to serve the needs of people celebrating Tet. These days, the amount of ornamental plants from the Northern Delta, Southern and Northern mountainous provinces pouring into Thanh Hoa City is increasing.

Mr. Quang, residing in Van Giang district, Hung Yen province, said that his family grows bonsai grapefruit. This year, Mr. Quang's grapefruit garden has 200 trees. To maximize profits, the garden owner has brought grapefruit to Thanh Hoa to sell for Tet.

The garden owner uses mesh bags and tape to protect the grapefruit during transportation and waiting for customers to "finalize the order".

Grasping the needs of the people, this year, Ms. Thu (residing in Thanh Hoa City) imported about 30 bonsai peach trees from a garden in Trieu Son district to the city to sell for Tet.

Peach roots from the northern provinces are grafted with Trieu Son peach branches (Thanh Hoa) to produce large buds, beautiful colors, and long-lasting flowers.

Depending on shape, flowers and buds, the price of each peach tree ranges from 5 to 7 million VND.
