Sowing hope through gifts and scholarships
The small, leaky, windy house of Le Hieu Hau's family (Bao Nhan Hamlet, Ho Thi Ky Commune) became warmer this Mid-Autumn Festival when it became a stop for the Moon Giving Trust Program. Hau has suffered from thrombocytopenia for more than 2 years now, and although it is now stable, he still has to go for regular check-ups. His family is in a particularly difficult situation: his father has diabetes, coughs and asthma, and cannot do heavy work; his mother has bilateral thyroid disease and just underwent surgery to remove her right lobe in early 2025. In addition, Hau has an older brother who is in 8th grade. Although life is full of hardship, his parents always try to make sure that Hau and his siblings can go to school. In response to that love and care, both brothers have excellent academic achievements. "This is the first time I have received Mid-Autumn Festival gifts, cakes and toys, and I feel very happy," Hau shared.
The Moon Program gives support gifts and scholarships worth 5 million VND to Le Hieu Hau.
The Moon Gives Trust is a series of activities during the Mid-Autumn Festival organized by the Youth Union of Ca Mau Newspaper, Radio and Television in coordination with sponsors in many localities in the province. In Ho Thi Ky Commune, the program awarded 2 scholarships, each worth 5 million VND to Le Hieu Hau, a student of Huynh Thi Kim Lien Primary School and Pham Vu Luan, a student of Ho Thi Ky A Primary School.
Mr. Pham Chi Dai, father of Pham Vu Luan (Hamlet 2, Ho Thi Ky Commune), expressed: "Despite difficult circumstances, my family still tries to send Luan to school. Our family has 4 square meters of land, with an unstable income, so my wife and I spend all our meager income to take care of our 10-year-old son with cerebral palsy and send Luan to school. The scholarship from the program is not only a material gift but also a great source of spiritual encouragement for us. This is a source of strength for my child to continue on the path of learning, and at the same time brings a warm and affectionate Mid-Autumn Festival."
The journey across the river brought a joyful and warm Mid-Autumn Festival to students at Dam Chim remote school.
Continuing to spread love, the Moon Giving Trust Program also came to the Dam Chim satellite school (belonging to Ho Gui Primary School, Tan Tien Commune). Separated by a road bridge, this is the learning space of 27 students with special circumstances. The children received gifts including cakes and cash worth 500,000 VND, along with a series of group fun activities, learning about the beauty of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Bui My Dieu, a student of Class 4A5, was moved: "At this remote school, many students have difficult circumstances, their families depend on catching crabs and snails, so they lack learning conditions. This year, the Mid-Autumn Festival was held right at the school, we received gifts of cakes and lanterns, it was so much fun. I promise to study hard so as not to let down the teachers and teachers who have traveled a long way to come here."
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Mai said that the more she understands the difficulties of rural children, the more motivated she is to maintain her volunteer activities.
The emotion of handing out gifts to children in remote areas is a common feeling among the program participants. "Each trip brings me many emotions when witnessing the difficulties of the children. This is the motivation for us to continue maintaining and expanding our volunteer activities," Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Mai added.
Spread love this Mid-Autumn Festival
The Moon Giving Trust program of the Ca Mau Newspaper, Radio and Television Youth Union and the exciting activities of the youth unions in the province are practically joining the common journey of Ca Mau youth in the peak period from September 25 to October 6 (ie from August 4 to 15 of the lunar calendar) with the theme "Lanterns light up dreams".

Mr. Tran Dang Khoa, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Council, said that with the desire to bring Mid-Autumn Festival to children in difficult circumstances, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Provincial Youth Union Council have proactively coordinated with sponsors to carry out many practical and meaningful activities. This year, the focus is still on remote, isolated, coastal communes, where there are many ethnic minorities, to bring a warm and united Mid-Autumn Festival to the children.

Accordingly, major provincial-level programs such as: Mid-Autumn Festival - Lighting up the dreams of children in Ca Mau province, Joining hands for the children, Childhood Moon, Dong Hai - The season of the rising moon... are all connected with organizations and units to ensure funding for implementation. These meaningful programs will contribute to raising awareness and responsibility of Youth Union, Association, and Pioneer organizations at all levels in the work of protecting, caring for, and educating teenagers and children; effectively implementing the campaign For beloved juniors. At the same time, attracting children to participate in healthy, beneficial, and safe recreational activities for comprehensive physical and mental development.
Students were excited with the lion dance performance, creating a bustling atmosphere on the full moon day of August.
The staged image of Uncle Cuoi and Sister Hang brings many emotions about traditional art to students.
"This year's Mid-Autumn Festival programs not only bring gifts, lanterns, but also have unique and joyful performances, especially educating about traditions and spreading Uncle Ho's immense love for children. Through that, children can feel the care of all levels and sectors to make more efforts, worthy of being good children, good students, and good grandchildren of Uncle Ho. With careful preparation, responsibility and many meaningful activities, we hope to join hands with the whole society to spread love so that children can have a complete Mid-Autumn Festival night," Mr. Tran Dang Khoa shared.
