At the meeting, representatives of the Department of Construction reported on the construction progress, compensation and site clearance work up to now; difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of the Project. Accordingly, the Project: Connecting traffic in the Northern mountainous provinces funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Australian Government (the route connecting Lai Chau with the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway) with a total route length of 82.975 km. The compensation and site clearance work regularly received the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial People's Council, promptly approved the list of land acquisition, forest land conversion, and forest conversion as a legal basis for specialized agencies to implement.

Up to this point, construction items and construction packages are continuing to be deployed. The total number of kilometers of handed over land has reached 99.72%. Currently, specialized units, Party committees and local authorities continue to strengthen propaganda and mobilization work to create consensus among the people when the State reclaims land and promptly hands over the construction site for the project.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Giang A Tinh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts of departments, branches, units and localities in implementing the project. At the same time, he requested the communes to coordinate with specialized units and investors in propaganda and mobilization of people in compensation, support and resettlement. The contractor shall prepare construction plans for each day and each week; take advantage of favorable weather to deploy construction measures, ensuring construction progress according to plan.
