National Assembly Deputy Ha Sy Dong questioned the Minister of Finance about the role of entrepreneurs.

At the question-and-answer session with the Minister of Finance , National Assembly delegate of Quang Tri province Ha Sy Dong, member of the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee, expressed his opinion on a new content mentioned in the minister's report sent to National Assembly delegates, related to a group of solutions to promote economic growth.

Accordingly, in the report, the Minister of Finance mentioned the solution of "creating all favorable conditions for businessmen to participate in national governance". Delegate Ha Sy Dong said that this is a new issue, demonstrating innovative thinking in managing socio-economic development. However, to effectively realize this policy, it needs to be further clarified in theory and practice.

“I request the minister to clarify the practical basis of this orientation; in what forms will businessmen participate in national governance? At the same time, what specific solutions will the Ministry of Finance have to implement the above policy in the coming time?”, delegate Ha Sy Dong stated.

Responding to the question of National Assembly delegate Ha Sy Dong, Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang affirmed: Vietnamese entrepreneurs not only lead the development of enterprises but also play an important role in building economic strategies, attracting investment and ensuring social security. The Minister said that in recent times, many outstanding entrepreneurs have been trusted to participate in important positions in the political system, elected bodies, and the Government has also applied the intelligence of entrepreneurs in building major projects, solving important issues that the Party, State and People are concerned about.

However, the Minister also admitted: The rate of businessmen participating in the political system and elected bodies is still limited, and needs to be further addressed and resolved. He cited Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo as an important orientation, emphasizing the honoring, praising and promoting the role of entrepreneurs with heart, vision and qualifications to participate in national governance. On that basis, the Ministry of Finance proposed three key solutions:

Firstly, improve the legal mechanism and procedures to encourage entrepreneurs to participate in consulting positions, state management or run for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels. It is necessary to create a clear and transparent legal corridor so that entrepreneurs can confidently contribute their intelligence and management experience to the country's development.

Second, strengthen dialogue activities and policy exchanges between the State and enterprises, expand consultation mechanisms so that business people can participate more deeply in the process of policy review and implementation.

Third, entrepreneurs themselves need to actively practice, comply with business ethics, promote social responsibility and respect the law. Entrepreneurs need to proactively improve their qualifications and reputation, and participate in representative organizations to be eligible to run for and be nominated for positions in the political system. This is a responsible accompaniment with the State in the process of building and developing the country.

The Minister of Finance said that promoting the role of entrepreneurs is not only an economic solution, but also a national development strategy in the context of deep global integration and the need to innovate the current growth model.
