In order to develop cultural life and expand the space for public art enjoyment, the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum will open its doors in the evening to welcome visitors as part of a series of experiential events called “Museum Night.”
The event series is scheduled to be held on the last Friday of each month, starting from the end of October 2025.
As planned, the program will take place in rotation with themes of different seasons and emotions: "Charming Autumn" (October 31), "Winter Street Stories" (November 28) and "Missing the Twelve" (December 26).
The event time may be adjusted depending on actual conditions and will be updated on the official media channels of the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts.
Coming to “Museum Night,” the public will have the opportunity to explore a new art space when the museum lights up. Visitors are free to visit the galleries, admire the collection of precious artifacts, use the automatic guide application iMuseum VFA, as well as participate in a series of rich interactive activities: watch artists draw live, practice sketching, experience traditional crafts such as decorating lanterns on Do paper, printing woodcuts, or shopping for souvenirs with special offers.
In particular, the program also creates opportunities for visitors to meet experts and art researchers, learn about 9 national treasures and typical works of Vietnamese fine arts.
In a cozy art space, visitors can enjoy musical performances by artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music; and interact with guest artists through special performances.
The appeal of “Museum Night” lies in the combination of art, culture and entertainment experiences in the same destination. Each month, the theme and activities are renewed, creating a different journey of enjoyment, suitable for the four-season rhythm and creative spirit of Hanoi .
The event was organized by the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in collaboration with the Hanoi Stories news site and the Hanoi FM Culture project group, with careful investment in content and form.
“Museum Night” is expected to become a new night-time cultural tourism product of the capital, contributing to spreading humanistic values, promoting art education and making practical contributions to the development of Vietnam’s creative cultural industry./.
