The National Assembly delegation of Dak Lak province surveyed the activities of the two-level local government in Krong Nang commune. Promoting potential, overcoming difficulties to operate effectively.

Working Group No. 1 of the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Lak province, led by Deputy Head of the Delegation Nguyen Thi Thu Nguyet, in charge of the Delegation, surveyed the operation of the two-level government after the merger and the implementation of the 2025 socio-economic development plan in Krong Nang commune.

Krong Nang commune was established on July 1, 2025 on the basis of merging Krong Nang town, Phu Loc commune and Ea Ho commune. The locality has an area of ​​over 125km², a population of over 46,000 people, with 18 ethnic groups living together, of which local ethnic minorities account for about 30%. This is a large area with rich potential for agricultural development, especially long-term industrial crops; at the same time, the economic structure is gradually shifting towards trade and services.
According to the report of the Commune People's Committee, after more than 2 months of operation, the two-level government apparatus has basically stabilized. The Commune People's Committee has issued more than 1,000 directive and administrative documents, and organized 3 regular meetings. The Public Administration Service Center received 2,269 records, of which 2,075 records were resolved on time, with the satisfaction rate of the people reaching 100%.

In the economic field, the budget revenue in the first 6 months of the year reached more than 4.4 billion VND, equal to 52.4% of the estimate and 230% of the adjusted estimate of the Provincial People's Council. This is a positive result, creating a foundation for the commune to strive to achieve the growth target of over 8% in 2025.

In addition to the initial results, the commune still faces many difficulties. The total number of cadres, civil servants and public employees is 81 people, while the workload has increased due to receiving many new tasks decentralized after the merger. Some positions are not suitable for their expertise, putting great pressure on the team. The new public administration center has 8 staff, making it difficult to meet the increasing demand. The information technology infrastructure is still lacking...

In particular, African swine fever has appeared in the area but the commune has not yet arranged veterinary staff, causing difficulties in disease prevention and control.

The provincial National Assembly delegation highly appreciated the efforts and sense of responsibility of the Party Committee and the government of Krong Nang commune. After the merger, the apparatus has initially operated smoothly; administrative procedures have been shortened, online public services have been deployed, creating more convenience for the people. At the same time, the people agreed with the policy of rearranging administrative units, demonstrating their trust in the leadership of the Party and the State.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Head of the delegation, in charge of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Thi Thu Nguyet acknowledged the initial results of Krong Nang commune. At the same time, she requested the locality to continue promoting administrative reform, digital transformation, and application of digital technology in the process of performing tasks. In particular, it is necessary to closely follow legal regulations, clearly and appropriately assign tasks to each cadre and civil servant to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of public service.
