Faced with the extremely complicated situation of climate change, extreme weather, storms with increasing frequency and intensity, on the evening of October 5, 2025, Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security, General Luong Tam Quang sent a letter of encouragement to the entire People's Public Security force, with the wish that the entire force is determined to respond to natural disasters, ensuring the highest safety for the people.

Dear comrades!

Since the beginning of 2025, climate change has been extremely complicated, with extreme weather, storms and rains with increasing frequency and intensity, and wide scope, causing serious damage to people and property; people's lives have faced many dangers and difficulties. Promoting the spirit of "forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people", "When the people need, when the people are in trouble, there is the police", the People's Police force has been exemplary and pioneering, mobilizing all troops and forces together with functional forces on the front line to prevent and fight natural disasters, overcoming the serious consequences caused by storms and floods.

The People's Public Security Forces are mobilizing forces and equipment to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10 and are ready to respond promptly to storm No. 11.

Officers and soldiers in key areas are always "speedy", ready to be present in the most dangerous and difficult places, day and night "in the sun, rain, and flood water" to help the people; quickly advise on implementation and directly contribute labor, funds, and materials... to build, renovate, and repair housing, support people to overcome the consequences, and soon stabilize their lives. In particular, in a few hours, storm No. 11 (Matmo) will make landfall, causing unpredictable impacts, directly affecting the security and safety of the country and the people.
