Wes Brown's team beat Berbatov and Ho Chi Minh City representative in street football tournament

(NLDO) - Wes Brown and Hai Truong FC 2 Club surpassed the teams of Berbatov, Nani and Vidic to win the anticipated street tournament in Ho Chi Minh City.

On the evening of October 12, Nguyen Hue walking street (HCMC) became more exciting than ever when legends and former Man United stars appeared at the national final round of Tiger Street Football.

In this final round, Berbatov, Vidic, Nani and Wes Brown respectively led four regional championship teams including Nha Trang, Can Tho, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Specifically, Berbatov and Tony MU Binh Duong team - champion of Ho Chi Minh City expanded region, face Vidic and HTC Club (Hanoi). Meanwhile, Nani - Phuc Dao Dien Club (Mekong Delta region) faces Brown - Hai Truong FC 2 (Central region).

After the competition to determine the two final teams, Brown and Hai Truong 2 FC defeated Berbatov and the team representing Ho Chi Minh City to win the gold cup and a prize worth 100 million VND.

The stars once fought at the top of Europe and this journey to Vietnam is not only a memorable reunion but also a return to memories, where their passion and courage to play football began from the streets.

During the pre-match exchange, Luis Nani shared his emotions about the "cradle" of street football, which has nurtured him since childhood. "Street football gave me all the strength, courage and spirit of never giving up.

Actually, I come from street football, have many good memories with this sport so I am very excited to participate in the tournament" - Nani said.

The former Portugal midfielder said it was those years that helped him develop his reflexes, balance and creativity, which he always passed on to his academy students.

Sharing the same sentiment, Dimitar Berbatov, Nani's former teammate at Man United, called street football the "biggest school" of his childhood.

"We learned everything from there: technique, ball feel, and most importantly courage" - Berbatov shared.
