Showers and thunderstorms also appeared in the midlands and mountainous areas of the Northeast with rainfall ranging from 20 - 50 mm, in some places heavy rain over 90 mm.
Hanoi will have rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms with rainfall of 30 - 70 mm, locally heavy rain over 90 mm on October 14 - 15.
From Quang Tri to Lam Dong and the South, there will continue to be a series of scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain, concentrated in the afternoon and evening.
During thunderstorms, watch out for tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.
In addition, flooding in Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh and Hanoi continues in riverside communes and wards, and in low-lying areas. There is a risk of riverbank and dike erosion and landslides on steep slopes in these areas.
At sea, on October 14, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the sea area from South Quang Tri to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to An Giang, the Gulf of Thailand, the sea area west of the North East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone) and the area between the East Sea, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a risk of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind of level 6-7 and waves over 2 meters high.

According to the city's Hydrometeorological Station, through monitoring weather radar images at 4:00 a.m. on October 14, convective clouds were developing over the areas of villages/residential groups in Kien Hai, Vinh Bao, Nguyen Binh Khiem, Vinh Am, Vinh Hai, Vinh Hoa, Vinh Thinh, Vinh Thuan wards... and Cat Hai special zone.
It is forecasted that from now until the next 3 days, convective clouds are likely to continue causing showers and thunderstorms in the above communes/wards. Then moving westward, causing thunderstorms in other communes/wards including: Hai An, Dong Hai, Nam Do Son, Do Son, Duong Kinh, Hung Dao, Kien Thuy, Kien Minh, Kien Hai, Kien Hung, Nghi Duong, Kien An, Phu Lien, Quyet Thang, Tien Lang, Tan Minh, Tien Minh, Chan Hung, Hung Thang, Ninh Giang, Vinh Lai, Khuc Thua Du, Tan An, Hong Chau, Thanh Mien, Bac Thanh Mien, Hai Hung, Nguyen Luong Bang, Nam Thanh Mien, Thuong Hong, Truong Tan, Binh Giang, Duong An...
