The 2-0 victory over Sunderland at Old Trafford on the night of October 4 helped Man United coach Ruben Amorim temporarily relieve the enormous pressure surrounding his hot seat.
Two goals from Mason Mount and Benjamin Sesko not only brought home 3 points but also gave the Portuguese strategist a valuable moment of peace before entering the international series.
Sharing after the match, one of the players with the most impressive performance - Mason Mount dispelled all doubts about internal conflicts by affirming the team's unity.
"The players in the team are 100% behind the coach (Amorim). We've had some results that have hurt the team, the coaching staff and the fans, so today's win was incredibly important," said Mount.
The English midfielder stressed that this must be a real turning point of the season, and that previous mistakes cannot be repeated:
"Today's win has to be the start of something. We thought after beating Chelsea that would be the start, but then we had a disappointing result at Brentford. It has to start today and we will work hard during the break. The target for Man United is to win two games in a row, then three, to focus on breaking into the top four."

However, coach Amorim still maintained a cautious attitude, challenging his students to "prove their loyalty" by showing the same spirit of dedication in every match.
This victory is obvious for Man United. However, my team is not stable. The players playing at home and away are too different. Specifically, the players need to play with the same spirit and form as at Old Trafford when playing away in the upcoming matches," Coach Amorim frankly admitted.
The win also marked the debut clean sheet for new goalkeeper Senne Lammens. Despite praising the new signing, Amorim warned that life at Man United "is not always easy".
Man United players and coaching staff will have a break before traveling to Anfield to face defending champions Liverpool in round 8 of the Premier League on October 19.
