All officers, employees and soldiers raced against time to protect the fruits of the people's labor. On the field of Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong's family (Xuan Tao village, Da Phuc commune), comrade Nguyen Duc Huy, Assistant to the Military Command of Da Phuc commune, and his teammates quickly scooped up and cut each fallen rice clump and gathered them into piles. Taking advantage of the break, Huy shared: "Helping the people is both our responsibility and our affection. The officers and soldiers of the unit will strive to harvest the rice with the people in the fastest time, reducing damage to the people."

Nguyen Thi Phuong's family planted more than 2 hectares of rice this season. When the storm came, the entire rice field of the family was destroyed and flooded. Her family was short of people, so harvesting and transporting rice home was extremely difficult. With the help of the army, Phuong was extremely grateful: "Seeing the rice fields destroyed and the flood water threatening, my heart felt like it was on fire. But fortunately, at the most difficult time, I received help from Uncle Ho's soldiers to harvest. I am very grateful to the officers and soldiers of the unit."

Officers and soldiers of the PTKV 1-Soc Son Command coordinated with other forces to overcome the overflow of Huu Cau dike in Da Phuc commune.

Not only Ms. Phuong's family, in Da Phuc commune, the storm caused hundreds of hectares of ripe rice to collapse and be submerged in floodwaters. Fortunately, the people received help from officers and staff of the PTKV 1-Soc Son Command and the militia to harvest crops and reduce the damage caused by the floods. The firm handshakes and sincere thanks from the people were the joy and motivation for the soldiers to overcome difficulties and successfully complete their tasks in peacetime.

After Storm No. 10, Storm No. 11 has come again, Hanoi Capital and many northern provinces and cities have suffered heavy consequences from floods. The storm circulation caused heavy rains, causing water from upstream to overflow the Huu Cau dike for nearly 10km. In that situation, the PTKV 1-Soc Son Command mobilized more than 40 officers and employees, received 14 motorboats from the Hanoi Capital Command to organize the evacuation of more than 600 households in An Lac village, Hoa Binh village (Trung Gia commune) to a safe place; coordinated with military units and militia forces of Da Phuc and Trung Gia communes and many means to organize the reinforcement and construction of dikes to prevent floods.

Colonel Lai Duc Manh, Political Commissar of the PTKV 1-Soc Son Command, said: To reduce damage caused by storms and floods, as soon as receiving instructions from superiors, the PTKV 1-Soc Son Command closely coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to assign and assign working groups to low-lying areas, monitor and grasp the situation, develop plans, and deploy solutions to help people prevent and fight floods. The unit's officers, employees, and soldiers clearly identified that this was not only a task but also a responsibility and sentiment to the people, a combat mission in peacetime, so everyone focused their minds and efforts to carry out the task as quickly and effectively as possible, ensuring the early stabilization of people's lives.
