Provincial relief fund: Received over 139 billion VND to overcome flood consequences

According to information from the Thai Nguyen Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, as of 4 p.m. on October 12, there had been 261,890 donations to the province's relief fund with a total amount of over 139 billion VND to overcome the consequences of floods.

On October 12, the Prime Minister decided to support 4 provinces: Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Bac Ninh with 400 billion VND to overcome the consequences of floods (the support money is taken from the central budget reserve in 2025). Of which, Thai Nguyen province will receive 250 billion VND, Cao Bang 50 billion VND, Lang Son 50 billion VND, Bac Ninh 50 billion VND.

The Prime Minister requested the People's Committees of Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son and Bac Ninh provinces to be responsible for managing and using the support money for the right purposes, right subjects, transparently, without loss or negativity, and report the results to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment for synthesis and reporting to the Government.

Previously, on October 8, the Prime Minister decided to provide emergency support of VND140 billion to the above-mentioned four provinces to promptly provide relief and initially overcome the consequences of floods. Of which, Thai Nguyen province received VND50 billion, Cao Bang VND30 billion, Lang Son VND30 billion, and Bac Ninh VND30 billion.
