Drones transport food supplies to flood victims in Bac Ninh

On the afternoon of October 9 and the morning of October 10, a group of drones were present in Hoang Van commune to support the transportation of food to households deeply submerged in floodwaters.

Mr. Le Dinh Long, the team leader, said that when he learned that some northern provinces, including Bac Ninh , were severely affected by floods, many drones formed a volunteer team to come and support people isolated in the floodwaters. The drones came from Ha Tinh, the Central Highlands region, and some from the West did not mind the long distance to help people overcome the fierce floods.

Mr. Le Dinh Long added that some areas in Hoang Van commune were deeply flooded and inaccessible by waterway vehicles, so using drones to transport food is a quick and effective solution.

On the afternoon of October 9, the drones delivered 500 kg of food to people isolated by floods in Hoang Van commune. By the morning of October 10, the group had delivered about 1,000 kg. The group then moved to Hop Thinh commune to continue delivering necessities to people affected by the floods.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Huong, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Hoang Van Commune, shared: As of October 10, Hoang Van Commune had about 10 isolated villages. Waterway vehicles could not enter many flooded areas in the commune. Therefore, using drones to transport food and provisions to isolated local people is very effective and fast.
