Duy Xuyen mobilized support to build 145 solidarity houses

During the 2019 - 2024 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district coordinated with local socio -political organizations to mobilize 14.6 billion VND for the Fund for the Poor, thereby providing capital support, giving livelihoods to help 326 poor households escape poverty sustainably, and at the same time supporting production development, students overcoming difficulties to study, treating illnesses, giving gifts and other support to 6,692 cases with a total amount of more than 4.6 billion VND.

In particular, it has mobilized support for the construction of 145 solidarity houses with an amount of more than 5 billion VND, of which in the period of 2022 - 2023, it has mobilized businesses and philanthropists to directly support nearly 6 billion VND to eliminate 63 temporary houses for poor households with a minimum support level of 100 million VND/house. Thereby, contributing to reducing the poverty rate of the whole district from 3.08% in 2019 to 2.06% in 2023.

The movement of donating land to pave the way for new rural construction was enthusiastically responded to by Duy Xuyen people.

From 2019 to now, the Front and socio-political organizations have mobilized people to contribute 17,379 working days, donate ^178,025m2 of land and 104 billion VND to contribute to the construction of new rural infrastructure and civilized urban areas. Up to now, 11 communes in the district have maintained new rural standards, 33/58 villages have met the standards of model new rural villages; 95.1% of households, 80.8% of residential areas and 26.5% of clans have been recognized as meeting cultural standards.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Duy Xuyen district and socio-political organizations signed a coordination regulation for the 2024 - 2029 term.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district and the Farmers' Association, Women's Union, District Youth Union, Veterans' Association and District Labor Federation jointly signed the regulations on coordination of activities for the 2024 - 2029 term.
