Currently, floods in the Northern rivers are rising rapidly. The Cau River flood in Thai Nguyen has exceeded the September 2024 flood by more than one meter. The Thuong River flood at Phu Lang Thuong station, Bac Ninh province continues to rise and is likely to exceed the historical level of 1986 (7.52 m).

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warns of a decrease in rain, but due to the very high flood level, widespread flooding in the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Lang Son, and Cao Bang will continue for the next 3-4 days. There is a high risk of flooding in low-lying areas along rivers and urban areas in the North; landslides on river banks and river dykes, flash floods on rivers and streams, and landslides on slopes.
