Memories with Quang Nam Newspaper

I suddenly felt startled when thinking about saying goodbye to Quang Nam newspaper - a newspaper that has been so dear to me for the past 20 years with many profound memories.

I have many options when collaborating with newspapers, but Quang Nam newspaper is always a priority address, although sometimes I am afraid that the article will be lost. The newspaper is quite strict. Just a paragraph, not to mention the whole article that has been published elsewhere, is easily rejected. In return, the newspaper has a very dedicated Editorial Board, contributing to breathing life into the article. Although it is a provincial newspaper, the number of collaborators is large, so the number of orders is not much (except in special cases).

Luckily, as scheduled, I was still able to contribute to the writing of major holidays and important events of the country. Perhaps it was because the field I collaborated on was often unique. Revolutionary war and generals both required accurate documents, and the opportunity to approach the characters was difficult, so writing an article required a lot of effort.

Quang Nam, the land of bravery and resilience, where heroes are everywhere, has always been my endless topic. “The house with 14 martyrs”, “The house with three heroes”, “The house with three generations of heroic Vietnamese mothers”…, have brought readers emotional discoveries .

Once a reader in the province called me and asked: “Where did you find such good characters?”. In my hometown. They are still here, but it was not until 30 years after the liberation that the writer met them and brought them to the community…

I am proud that I have not written anything wrong, related to data, identity, events, affecting the reputation of the newspaper. In the section on generals and heroes of Quang region, I have many advantages because I have the opportunity to meet and exploit rich documents.

Many times, when I was far away, I asked Ms. Trinh Thi Lam - Administrative - Political Department to help send newspapers to my characters and always received enthusiastic support. At the same time, she confided that the articles about the revolutionary war made us more proud of our homeland, helping her is contributing to gratitude to the uncles and aunts who went before.

Every year, I look forward to October to attend the conference of contributors organized by the newspaper. The car picks up the senior contributors in Da Nang . We have meaningful moments of reunion.

Quang Nam Newspaper is different from many other places I have attended. The newspaper always prioritizes new elements, especially young collaborators. From the conference to the luncheon, the atmosphere is sincere and bustling, everyone feels like one family. That makes us love the editorial board and the brothers and sisters in the editorial office more, giving us more motivation to collaborate so that next year we can celebrate together again.

I remember most the happy Tet holidays when I was present in the spring edition. Without any bias towards "big trees, big trees" or any position, the newspaper only used articles that were already in the topic stated a few months ago and guaranteed the quality. Therefore, everyone could contribute, creating a lively and fresh content and writing style, making the spring special issue always awaited by readers.

Life is full of changes, and we will eventually adapt. But the sweet memories of Quang Nam newspaper will forever be in my heart.
