Endrick now works regularly with Jonathan Guimarães, a Brazilian fitness coach based in Tokyo. |
At the age of 19, he has just installed a 250,000 euro gym at his home in Madrid, modeled after the system that served Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in their prime.
From Tokyo to Madrid: the obsession called fitness
Endrick now works regularly with Jonathan Guimarães, a Brazilian fitness coach based in Tokyo. The two maintain a separate training plan alongside Real Madrid’s, focusing on muscle recovery and increasing the acceleration that made the youngster shine at Palmeiras.
Endrick's new gym was designed and installed by a team of engineers who worked with Messi and Ronaldo when they played in La Liga. All the equipment is manufactured to the highest standards, with a sensor system that analyzes movement and adjusts the load according to the physical state of the exerciser. Experts estimate the total cost to be up to 250,000 euros, but for Endrick, it is an investment for the long term future.
According to Thiago Freitas, CEO of Roc Nation Sports - Endrick's representative - this is not just a luxury project but a career development philosophy: "Players who have the desire to maintain a top level always have to reinvest in themselves, whether it is through technology or training methods. Preparing a player at 16 is very different than when they are 18 or 21. There are short-term goals every week, but more importantly, a long-term vision."

Endrick is trying to revive his career in Europe. |
That philosophy explains why, since the age of 15, Endrick has been assigned a personal fitness trainer by Roc Nation, accompanying him on all training and matches. It is not surprising that the Brazilian striker's physique and acceleration are always among the most outstanding players born in 2006.
Back after painful days
However, the journey to the top has never been easy. Endrick has just suffered two consecutive muscle injuries, which kept him out of action for nearly five months and missed the chance to play for Brazil in coach Carlo Ancelotti’s most recent training camp. He only returned to the squad on September 20 against Espanyol and was on the bench for the next five matches.
The Real Madrid No. 9 striker last appeared on May 18, when he injured his right hamstring in the match against Sevilla in the penultimate round of La Liga. This summer, the injury recurred just before the Club World Cup tour of the United States, forcing him to take a long break.
With his own international standard gym and a comprehensive support team, Endrick is gradually "rebuilding" himself. In an era where young talents are easily swept away by the spotlight, the 19-year-old boy chose a less noisy but more sustainable path - investing in his health, to prepare for the long road ahead.
Because at Real Madrid, talent is a necessary condition - but physical strength and will are sufficient conditions to survive.
