Vietnam Futsal finalizes list for Asian qualifying round

(NLDO) - After a training trip in Kuwait, the Vietnamese futsal team arrived in China to prepare for the 2026 Asian futsal qualifiers.

The Vietnam futsal team traveled from Kuwait on a journey lasting more than 20 hours, transiting in Dubai before arriving in Hangzhou early on September 15 (local time). Before that, the Vietnam futsal team won all matches against host Kuwait (3-2, 3-1).

On the same morning, coach Diego Giustozzi and his team entered their first training session at Linping Sport Center Gymnasium, the official competition venue of Group E. The training session mainly consisted of light exercises to help the players get used to the time zone and recover after the long flight.

During the afternoon, the team continued to work on tactics, with a focus on defensive organization and quick transitions.

Before moving to Hangzhou, head coach Diego Raul Giustozzi also announced the official list of 14 players participating in the Asian Futsal Championship qualifiers. Accordingly, two players Nguyen Van Tuan and Nguyen Minh Tri had to say goodbye to their teammates.

According to the match schedule in Group E, the Vietnamese futsal team will meet Hong Kong (China) on September 20, China on September 22 and Lebanon on September 24.

With careful domestic preparation and international training, the Vietnamese futsal team aims to win a ticket to the 2026 Asian Futsal Finals, while affirming its position among the top teams on the continent.
