Meeting the female soldiers of Truong Son in the past

Attending were comrades: Truong My Hoa, former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President ; Hoang Thi Ai Nhien, former Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union.

At the program, Mr. Tran Minh Xiem, Head of the Steering Committee for the merger and consolidation of the Truong Son Association of Ho Chi Minh City, said that following the sacred call of the Fatherland, twenty thousand women went to Truong Son and overcame bombs and bullets to contribute to writing the heroic epic of Truong Son.

The female liaisons always ensure the transportation and accommodation for millions of officers, soldiers, wounded and sick soldiers to and from the secret battlefield safely. Female informants, ciphers, and medics stick to the route day and night to serve the forces that cross the key points to bring goods safely. The sisters who perform the task of transporting by human power have sacrificed their lives to transport weapons and goods to serve the battlefields...

The organizing committee presented flowers to female delegates and the Women's Working Committee of the Truong Son Association of Ho Chi Minh City.

During the exchange, Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh, Women's Working Committee, Truong Son Association, Ho Chi Minh City, talked about the years of living and training in Truong Son. "Those are memories of the time when we shared bombs, bullets, rice, salt and wild vegetables together, shared joys and sorrows, read letters together, lay and sat in the same hammock, covered with the same thin blanket to keep warm, experienced malaria that made my limbs cramp... Those memories are deeply engraved in my memory, I can never forget", Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh said.

When she met again after the war, she felt sorry for her comrades who were wounded soldiers, those infected with Agent Orange, and her friends who had difficult circumstances in life. “That is the motivation for me to continue to do the work of solidarity with comrades and solidarity with Truong Son,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh shared.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh presented gifts to disadvantaged female members at the program.

Over the years, she has actively carried out charity activities, such as: building charity houses, providing financial support, eliminating hunger and reducing poverty, participating in flood relief, giving gifts to people in difficult circumstances, etc. Her family also sponsored the construction of the "Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Road Memorial Monument".

After listening to the stories, former Vice President Truong My Hoa was moved to share: “This is a very special meeting, allowing me to meet the female soldiers of Truong Son at that time. Each story, each aspect reflected the arduous yet heroic “Truong Son, a girl’s time”. In particular, the most obvious is the spirit of revolutionary optimism, trust in the leadership of the Party and Uncle Ho. To this day, they still keep that heart, always care and share with their comrades, actively contribute to the community, and do meaningful things for society,” comrade Truong My Hoa shared.

Comrade Truong My Hoa expressed her wish that the female soldiers of Truong Son in the past will always be healthy, maintain their optimistic spirit, love life; continue to inspire and educate the younger generation and contribute to the development of the country in the era of growth.
