At the meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh , the Vatican Prime Minister happily accepted the invitation to visit Vietnam and said that Pope Francis hopes to visit Vietnam soon.

On November 19 (local time), continuing activities within the framework of the G20 Summit in Brazil, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a bilateral meeting with Vatican Prime Minister, Cardinal Pietro Parolin.
At the meeting with the Vatican leader, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh respectfully conveyed the greetings of General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to Cardinal Pietro Parolin. The Prime Minister also conveyed the invitation of General Secretary To Lam and President Luong Cuong to the Vatican Prime Minister to visit Vietnam.
The two sides expressed their delight at the positive developments in the Vietnam-Holy See relationship in recent times, demonstrated through visits and contacts between high-ranking leaders of both sides.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his appreciation and respect for the good feelings of Pope Francis and Prime Minister, Cardinal Pietro Parolin for Vietnam and respectfully invited the Vatican Prime Minister to soon visit Vietnam.
The Vatican Prime Minister happily accepted the invitation and said that Pope Francis hopes to visit Vietnam soon, contributing to promoting the connection between the Holy See and the Catholic Church in Vietnam, further strengthening the relationship between Vietnam and the Vatican.
