In Do Luong commune, Nghe An province, Anh Thanh Do hotel has a total of nearly 40 rooms, of which 30 were empty on September 29. According to Ms. Tran Thi Hanh - Manager at Anh Thanh Do Hotel Trade Center Complex, about 23 guests canceled their check-in due to the impact of storms and floods. Some other guests also left the hotel early to go home to avoid the storm. Despite efforts to take preventive measures and reinforce to protect property when hearing news of the storm, mobilizing human resources to be on duty for hours, bracing facilities, blocking glass doors and roofs, storm No. 10 still caused heavy damage to the hotel.
Ms. Tran Thi Hanh added: "We have mobilized and arranged staff to stay on duty to deal with the storm, but this storm No. 10 is really serious. It is much stronger than storm No. 5. We have also reinforced and used measures to protect property, using hard objects such as tables and chairs to block inside the glass doors. We have cut down the high branches and branches with many leaves, but two old trees were still uprooted. The damage is very severe. The strength of the storm is beyond our control."

Currently, the tourism industry and local authorities affected by storm No. 10 are determined to work with businesses to focus on overcoming the consequences of the storm. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province recommends that people and tourists should not travel to areas at risk of landslides and flash floods, absolutely not participate in unsafe activities and comply with regulations on storm and flood prevention.
Ms. Vuong Thi Hai Yen - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa said: "We have directed not to organize or recommend tourists not to participate in adventure tourism activities, swimming or traveling by waterway during times of danger warnings due to heavy rain, storms, gusts of wind, and big waves. Organizations and individuals that do business in tourism services such as tourist boats must bring their vehicles to safe shelters and anchor securely.
The Department also requires travel businesses to proactively contact customers whose schedules are affected during the storm, and agree to cancel or adjust the schedule to ensure safety and the best interests of tourists."
In popular tourist destinations such as Quang Ninh and Hai Phong, although storm No. 10 did not make direct landfall, many travel agencies have calculated prevention plans to preserve property and ensure the safety of residents and tourists in anticipation of the storm's impact.
Mr. Pham Ha, CEO of Lux Group - a cruise business unit in Lan Ha and Ha Long Bays, said: "We closely monitor the main routes of the storm as well as the regulations and directives of Quang Ninh province and Hai Phong city to ensure safety. We always follow closely and assign staff to be on duty 24/7 on our ships to ensure safety. At the same time, we also notify our partners to move customers and change schedules accordingly. We also strictly comply with the procedures on security and safety at sea, especially ensuring the safety of property and people in the Bay as well as complying with regulations and taking safe shelter from the storm in the storm shelters of Quang Ninh province and Hai Phong city."
In the face of the severe impact of storm No. 10, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has also directed localities to strengthen prevention work at destinations and to strengthen guidance for tourism businesses not to bring tourists to destinations affected by storms, floods, and natural disasters.
