This victory helped Usyk win the IBF championship belt from Dubois. The Ukrainian boxer once again became the "absolute heavyweight boxing champion" when he simultaneously owned 4 championship belts: WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBF.
In May 2024, Usyk defeated Tyson Fury to become the "absolute heavyweight champion" with 4 titles WBA, IBF, WBC and WBO. But then, Usyk was stripped of the IBF championship title and the belt fell into the hands of Dubois.
Before the match with Dubois, many experts were concerned that Usyk (38 years old) would have difficulty moving flexibly when he weighed 103kg - the highest weight of his career.
But the Ukrainian boxer dispelled any doubts as he moved quickly and gracefully, not allowing Dubois to take advantage of his physical and youthful advantages.
From the start of the fight, Usyk displayed his trademark defensive counter-punching skills, dodging Dubois’s punches with ease before unleashing a series of accurate counter-punches.

Usyk dominated Dubois for three-quarters of the first round and the decisive moment came in the fifth. "The White Rabbit" (nickname Uskyk) knocked out his opponent with a right hook before landing a powerful left punch that landed on Dubois' chin.
This victory not only helped Usyk unify the heavyweight boxing championship belts, but also helped him assert his strength against his opponent. In 2023, Usyk knocked out Dubois in a match in Poland, but it was a controversial match as many people thought the referee was biased towards Usyk.
Usyk maintains a perfect record after 24 fights, including 15 knockout wins.
