Previously, due to the influence of storm No. 10, heavy rains continued in Son Kim 1 commune ( Ha Tinh province). At about 7:00 a.m. on September 29, at Km77+300 of National Highway 8A (through Son Kim 1 commune), a landslide occurred, with trees falling from the high cliff, blocking the road, stretching for dozens of meters.

The landslide caused traffic congestion, preventing vehicles from Cau Treo international border gate to the inland and vice versa from passing through the area.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Cau Treo International Border Guard Station coordinated with relevant agencies and local authorities to mobilize forces and vehicles to quickly arrive at the scene to organize traffic flow, put up warning signs, and set up checkpoints at both ends of the landslide site to ensure traffic safety.

At the same time, urgently fix landslides, remove rocks and trees on National Highway 8A.
