Lam Dong Provincial People's Council passed a resolution to use Ninh Thuan province's budget to support public investment in the Ninh Thuan-Lam Dong connecting road project.

On March 1, Lam Dong Provincial People's Council held the 13th Session - Special Session to consider and approve the Draft Resolution to allow Ninh Thuan province to use Ninh Thuan province's budget to support Lam Dong province in implementing public investment activities for the Road Project connecting Tan Son town, Ninh Son district, Ninh Thuan province to Ta Nang intersection, Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province.

The project of connecting road from Tan Son town to Ta Nang crossroads has been approved by the National Assembly and the Government. This is a very important project connecting inter-provincial traffic. The project has a total length of about 63.32 km (of which the route passing through Lam Dong province is about 17.10 km long); the total investment of the project is about 1,494.7 billion VND. To implement the project section passing through Lam Dong province, the People's Council of Ninh Thuan province issued Resolution No. 11/2022/NQ-HDND agreeing to use Ninh Thuan province's budget to support Lam Dong province in implementing public investment activities for the project section passing through Lam Dong province with an amount of over 365 billion VND.

At this thematic session, the People's Council of Lam Dong province discussed and voted to approve the Resolution to allow Ninh Thuan province to use the local budget of Ninh Thuan province to support Lam Dong province in implementing public investment activities for the Road Project connecting Tan Son town to Ta Nang Intersection, at a rate of 100%. After this session, the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Lam Dong province requested the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee to promptly send the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council to the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province to promptly complete the legal procedures to implement the project in accordance with the law. At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee requested the relevant agencies and localities to promptly complete the procedures for compensation and site clearance of the road passing through the province; closely coordinate with the People's Committee of the province, agencies and units of Ninh Thuan province to ensure legal documents to submit to competent authorities for approval. At the same time, there are solutions to provide maximum support for investors and construction units to implement the project in Lam Dong province.

It is known that on February 23, in Da Lat City (Lam Dong), Comrade Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a working session with the leaders of Lam Dong province to complete legal procedures according to Resolution No. 16/NQ-CP dated January 27, 2024 of the Government to implement the project of the Road connecting Tan Son town to Ta Nang intersection. Speaking at the working session, Comrade Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that due to the time required to complete legal procedures according to Resolution No. 16/NQ-CP of the Government, the Provincial People's Committee proposed that the Standing Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Council soon consider organizing a thematic People's Council meeting to pass a Resolution agreeing to use the local budget of Ninh Thuan province to support Lam Dong province to implement the project; The Standing Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Council, People's Committee and relevant departments, branches and localities pay attention and support Ninh Thuan province to complete the procedural documents to submit to the Prime Minister for decision to soon complete the project.
