How to make beef stew

Ingredients: 1 kg of beef shank with a little tendon and beef brisket; 1 carrot; 1 white radish; 4 potatoes; 1 packet of beef stew spice (about 25 kg); 4 dried shallots; 4 cloves of garlic; 6 lemongrass stalks; 1 branch of ginger 100g.

How to make: Wash the beef, cut into bite-sized squares. Boil a pot of water, add ginger and blanch the beef for 2 minutes to remove all impurities from the beef. Peel and chop the garlic and shallots. Peel off the old parts of the lemongrass, crush and chop the roots, keeping the top part. Peel and wash the carrots, white radishes, and potatoes, then cut into bite-sized squares.

Remove beef from pot, marinate with seasoning packet, 2 teaspoons sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon MSG, minced onion and minced garlic for 30 minutes.

Place the pot on the stove, add a little cooking oil, stir-fry over low heat until the beef is firm, then pour boiling water to cover the meat and stew over low heat. When the meat begins to soften, add carrots, potatoes and white radish to the pot, season to taste and cook for another 10 minutes. Mix 1 tablespoon of tapioca starch with a bowl of boiling water, slowly add it to the pot of beef stew while stirring constantly until the beef thickens, then stop. Turn off the heat, scoop the beef into a bowl and eat with white rice or bread.
