The principal signed a contract to rent the canteen to his wife, illegally collecting and spending nearly 3 billion VND.

Through verification, the inspection team of the authorities discovered that the Principal of Ho Thi Ky Secondary School (Ca Mau) signed a contract to rent the canteen to his wife, resulting in financial violations of nearly 3 billion VND.

On October 10, according to VietNamNet's source, the People's Committee of Dinh Thanh commune ( Ca Mau province) announced the results of the complaint against Mr. Tran Quoc Dung, Principal of Ho Thi Ky Secondary School.

According to the verification results, from September 2017 to July 2025, Ho Thi Ky Secondary School organized the rental of canteens and parking lots on campus, but this was not approved by competent authorities.

Mr. Dung signed a contract to rent the canteen to Mrs. PTHM (his wife, also a teacher at the school). This was determined to be a violation of anti-corruption regulations.

Besides, Mr. Lam Van Thu, Chairman of the School Union, signed to confirm 4 contracts for renting the canteen and parking lot, which is not in accordance with the functions and duties of the union.

During the above period, the school earned nearly 3 billion VND from renting out the canteen, parking lot and receiving commissions from Edu messaging services, school uniforms and accident insurance.

The inspection team determined that Mr. Dung had directed the school treasurer to directly manage, did not direct the accountant to enter the unit's accounting system for monitoring, did not account for, and did not report finances.

From the above verification results, the inspection team recommended that the Commune People's Committee consider and handle the responsibility of Mr. Dung and his subordinates, and at the same time transfer the file to the investigation agency to clarify the act of "establishing a fund not in accordance with regulations" at Ho Thi Ky Secondary School.

A university has been approved by the Ministry of Construction to invest more than 1,000 billion VND in its projects . A representative of the University of Transport Technology said that the leaders of the Ministry of Construction have just approved the investment policy for the school's projects with a total amount of more than 1,000 billion VND.
