Coach Harry Kewell had an unsuccessful debut with Hanoi FC when he lost 1-2 to Ninh Binh, in round 7 of LPBank V-League. Evaluating the match, the former Liverpool player said: "We did well in many aspects, creating quite a few chances. But football is a story of goals and unfortunately, today the team did not score. When you do not score, you will have to pay the price, and we lost.
Hanoi FC played good football, but unfortunately conceded two goals from set pieces. That is what cost us. When we return to training, the team must work even harder. One of the important things is to improve our defensive ability, especially in set pieces. We need to learn to react better, to concentrate more in important moments."

" Ninh Binh is a very direct team, with great strikers. They only needed two chances from set pieces and took them all. That shows they are very effective. We have to control better against teams that play like that. Overall, I think Hanoi FC did not play badly. Ninh Binh did not really create too many chances other than two set pieces. I am satisfied because the players showed the spirit and will that I wanted," added the Hanoi FC captain.
Commenting on Do Hoang Hen's performance, Coach Harry Kewell said: "He played very well. This is Hen's first match after a long time of not playing. I have to check his physical condition and cannot use Hoang Hen for 90 minutes."
"I can't blame my players. They played in the right spirit and the right way that we aim for. They tried to play with dedication, even though today it didn't bring the desired result. I think everyone is very eager and trying very hard.
Defeat always hurts, but that's football. We have to go back to training, work harder and keep improving. I believe with the support of the coaching staff, the players, the team will soon be on the right track. I want the fans to know that we bring dedication, effort and respect to the team. Everyone is committed to working hard to bring pride to the club. Every game is an opportunity to improve, and I believe the team will soon show its true potential," concluded coach Harry Kewell.

Meanwhile, Ninh Binh coach Gerard Albadajejo said: "We won against Hanoi FC, a very strong team with a long history and always fighting to the end. This was a really difficult match, and this victory has great significance for the club. If you want to win, you have to endure, you have to persevere to the end. We did that and deserved the 3 points.
Today, Hoang Duc showed an extraordinary fighting spirit, almost like an "alien". Even though he was injured, Hoang Duc still played, wanted to help his teammates, wanted to contribute to the team. He is a great example of leadership and responsibility. Ninh Binh is very happy and proud of him."
