Sharing about this issue, Coach Kim Sang Sik said: "My coaching staff and I have emphasized safety so we have not used many U23 players. We beat Nepal 3-1 in the previous round, so tomorrow the whole team has a clear goal of winning. The whole team will try to play confidently. I think the opponent will defend deep, so I require the attacking players to move well, coordinate well and need to finish more accurately. I hope the players will play a dedicated match."

It is highly likely that the Vietnamese team will not have the services of the mainstay central defender Bui Tien Dung due to injury. However, coach Kim Sang Sik is confident that other players of the Vietnamese team can fill the position left by this player: "He played the first half in the match against Nepal. After that, he had a backache so he has not participated in recent training sessions. It is difficult for him to play tomorrow. However, other players can perform well in the task, ensuring the tactics set by the coaching staff.

To score more goals tomorrow, we have prepared. The finishing needs to be calmer and more precise. I believe the players are capable enough to do that. Tien Dung may not play tomorrow's match, we are arranging tactics to be able to play more tightly. Tomorrow, scoring many goals is an important goal. More importantly, not conceding goals in tomorrow's match."

The striker born in 1997 said: "Tomorrow is the first match in the second leg of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers for the Vietnamese team. After the match against Nepal, we have been practicing hard to play better than tomorrow's match. We are eager and determined to play even better. Hopefully, we will play well in front of the home crowd, after many months of returning to Thong Nhat Stadium. The goal of the Vietnamese team is 3 points," Tien Linh affirmed.

Before this match, Tien Linh has a great opportunity to equal, even surpass the number of goals scored by famous player Le Huynh Duc for the Vietnam National Team. Specifically, Tien Linh has 26 goals, standing in 3rd place and only 1 goal behind Le Huynh Duc, who is in 2nd place.
