The match between Vietnam and Nepal will take place at 7:30 pm tomorrow (October 14) at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC). This match is nominally Nepal's home match, but the team chose to play at Thong Nhat Stadium and was approved by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
Before the match, coach Kim Sang Sik of the Vietnamese team said: "In the match on October 9, we had a victory against Nepal. That is why, in this match, the Vietnamese team continues to want to win, even win big."

“To win big against Nepal, Tien Linh and our strikers must score many goals. We will not only pay attention to set pieces, but also pay attention to coordination in other situations,” added coach Kim Sang Sik.
One of the issues of concern in the Vietnamese national team today is the appearance of players in the 23-year-old age group. These are the people expected to create a new momentum for coach Kim Sang Sik's team.
Regarding the young faces in the 23-year-old group, Coach Kim Sang Sik made an important revelation: “In the previous match, some U23 players were on the field. They played energetically, enthusiastically, and contributed to the overall playing style of the whole team.”
“In tomorrow’s match, I cannot say in advance which players I will use from the group of young faces, but they will have the opportunity to show themselves. I always calculate that for the right time,” coach Kim Sang Sik affirmed.

Also related to young players, answering a question from Dan Tri reporter, striker Nguyen Tien Linh said: "There are many young players in the national team this time, they show great determination."
“This will be a valuable experience for the young players when they get to play for the national team. What I want to tell the young players is that when they get to play, they should enjoy it and give it their all. After playing for the national team, the young players will increase their skills and experience, aiming for important tournaments of the U23 Vietnam team.
In particular, the end of this year will be the 33rd SEA Games, a very important tournament for Vietnamese youth football. I believe that if the young players are allowed to play, they will fulfill the requirements of coach Kim Sang Sik," striker Nguyen Tien Linh affirmed.

As for coach Kim Sang Sik, the Korean coach also revealed plans to change the attack and defense of the Vietnamese team in the second leg match against Nepal tomorrow.
Mr. Kim Sang Sik shared: “It is possible that in tomorrow's match, central defender Bui Tien Dung will not play due to injury. I am considering a replacement for this central defender. Scoring is very important, but more importantly, the first task of the whole team is not to concede any goals. I hope that the person replacing Bui Tien Dung will play well, helping the defense to be tight.”
“As for the attack, I have let the players practice different attacking strategies. Hopefully we will score more goals than in the first leg, my strikers will be more effective in finishing,” said the Korean coach who is leading the Vietnamese team.
