On October 2, the Hai Phong Department of Education and Training said that an 11th grade student at Phan Boi Chau High School suffered a broken bone and had to be hospitalized after fighting with four 10th grade students.

According to the school report, on the afternoon of September 26, Mac Bao N. (grade 11) collided with Pham Tuan A. (grade 10K) on the stairs. The next morning, during recess, N. met A. to talk about the incident. The two agreed to go to the urban area west of Nam Sach commune after school to resolve the conflict.
On the afternoon of September 27, at the meeting point, Pham Tuan A. and three other friends, Nguyen Xuan H., Tran Van Q. and Vu Pham Tung D. (class 10H) fought with Mac Bao N. As a result, N. suffered a broken nose, a broken left arm, and swelling in many places, and had to be taken to Hai Duong General Hospital for emergency treatment.
Phan Boi Chau High School reported the incident to the Hai Phong Department of Education and Training, the authorities and the Nam Sach Commune Police. The Disciplinary Council decided to suspend four 10th grade students for one week, from September 30 to October 6, pending the police's conclusion.
The school and the families of the students involved visited the hospital to offer their support. According to Principal Vu Dinh Manh, N.'s health is currently stable, he does not need surgery and can be discharged soon to continue treatment at home.
Hai Phong Department of Education and Training requested the school to continue to coordinate with the police to verify and clarify the incident for handling according to regulations.
